Just the Tip: Cotton dries skin, but it takes skin to dry plastic!

With winter rapidly approaching, it’s timely to remind you that while a cotton towel can dry your hands, it can never dry a plastic disc. Only a chamois (made from animal skin) or an artificial chamois fabric can possibly remove all the water from a disc. Microfibre cloths are generally NOT suitable for drying discs, although there are some microfibre towels which will work like a chamois.
So, when purchasing a chamois, make sure it’s for removing water, such as a chamois for drying your car after washing it. However, do not make the mistake of getting a chamois which is stiff when dry. It must be soft. For many years, Vortica has been looking for a supply of microfibre towels and chamois towels for our customers, at a price point which is trivial, and whose performance is top notch. And… we have found them – in a single towel! Our newest disc golf accessory is a 32cm x 40cm double sided towel with chamois on one side and microfibre on the other! And, at a price of just $6 each – we’ve got you covered for the winter. https://www.vorticadiscgolf.co.nz/product-page/artifical-chamois-microfibre-towel-31cm-x-40cm Kia tika te rere – Enjoy the flight
