What Innova say: The Dart is a small diameter putter with a straight flight. The Dart is especially good for long range putts and go-for shots. It has a flight similar to the Aviar Putt & Approach but has less low speed fade and a little more range. The nice thing about this disc, besides the improved grip, is that it holds the line for a long time.
The story behind these discs:
Waaaay back in 2002, when Innova still held a (completely bogus) patent for the "Bevelled Edge Flying Disc" (expired in 2003), and before the advent of stamping Flight Numbers on discs, Innova specially manufactured a range of golf discs for competition in Japan, where the maximum weight for discs was just 150 grams.
These now highly collectable PFN (Pre-Flight Numbers) discs were made slightly over the 150g limit, and were not suitable for export to Japan.
Not only are these genuine New Old Stock, and PFN, they also carry the Innova Patent number on the underside of the flight plate.
And so we can know for sure that these brand new discs are at least 23 years old in 2025!
Innova Dart (DX) PFN! PATENTED!
The straight flying Dart can be seen in a lot of players bags. It's often used as a distance putter. Players appreciate the Dart's smaller diameter and longer glide. Where the Aviar will fade at the end of the throw, the Dart will maintain the flight path.
