In 2017 Tekapo was sufficiently progressive to recognise a great opportunity to provide a highly scenic recreational disc golf course and family activity to their burgeoning township. With spectacular and truly stunning views of Lake Tekapo's glacial blue waters and mountains of the Southern Alps, it is the perfect place to stop for a break, and take in the view as you make your way around the course.

Chris and Martin were able to create yet another small yet compelling 9-basket Community Course, which sees a lot more play than is indicated in the numbers above, due to the high numbers of international visitors who enjoy the course.
The course winds its way through the shaded pine forest and out along the lake's edge, depending on how full it is at the time. Lake Tekapo is a reservoir for the Southern Lakes Hydro-electricity scheme, and lake levels can drop until the foundations and chimney of the old homestead are above water.

Installed in August 2018. A family friendly community nine holer with great views of Lake Tekapo and occasionally Mount Cook. Located 1.5km up Lillybank Road from the Lake Tekapo Advanced course.
