Only 150 of this very special two-colour commemorative stamp were printed onto silver and gold Atomic 1R Tara Iti. There are just 29 silver and 8 gold remaining, as at 29th March 2023.
RPM and Vortica sponsored player Riley Bruce reports that the silver coloured 1R discs seem to be slightly less overstable than the gold items.
A total of 6,000 1R Tara Iti have been made, across all plastics: Atomic, Cosmic, Platinum, Magma, and Strata.
Rumours of a soon-to-come Tara Iti-XG are true. We can hardly wait for that next disc!

RPM Tara Iti (1R Atomic) Paradise Plates
This disc was PDGA-approved just in time for Saturday 25th of March 2023 for the first round of the 2023 Paradise Plates event run by Vortica Disc Golf.
This Speed-10 stable disc is perhaps best thought of as a faster Thunderbird, which is ideal for players with 120-metres or more of power. For the rest of us mere mortals, Tara Iti is a wind-fighting overstable driver with admirable stability and a good fade to finish.
During development of this mould, in order to obtain the desired level of high-speed stability, 1 mm of additional rim depth and a more pronounced concave bottom rim were created. This not only added stability, but also makes it ideal as a forehand disc, as Tara Iti can handle industrial levels of FH torque, without a big portion of your finger pulps hanging off the rim.
With such a large area for them to engage with, and apply power to, Tara iti could well become your most favoured forehand driver, straight out of the box.
Backhand throwers will relish the controllability of this speed-10 disc, which is much easier to grip and rip than speed-13 drivers.
Those who like the feel of a Huia will feel instantly familiar with Tara Iti when they first pick it up, as it has the same strong ramp on the bottom rim.
