We see so many people on the course touching their mini markers during their putting motion before they let their disc go. From 2018 onward this is an instant foot fault and penalty stroke requiring only one seconder.
When putting, purposely place your foot 5 centimetres away from the mini marker, so there is no chance of touching it before your release.
For drives, aim to plant 20 centimetres behind the marker.
It’s not enough to simply follow the rules, you have to be seen to follow them.
